Maanav Karamchandani ’25 and Luke Manna ’25

For their Global Perspective summer, Maanav Karamchandani ’25 and Luke Manna ’25 went to the Azores, Portugal, to research sustainable finance in the Iberian Peninsula and surrounding areas.

In addition to the Azores, they traveled to Valletta, Malta, and Barcelona, Spain, in partnership with the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, the Government of Portugal, and the University of Malta.

“The Azores are among the world’s fastest growing tourism destinations. We’re researching what various leaders are doing to ensure that the financial development of these regions is sustainable in nature,” Maanav said.
