The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Board of Trustees has appointed three Morehead-Cain Alumni to the UNC–Chapel Hill Board of Visitors (BOV).

Ron Boatwright ’81 of Colleyville, Texas; Pearce Landry ’95 of Greensboro, North Carolina; and Will Alston ’00 of Charlotte, North Carolina, have been selected for this year’s cohort of members along with 54 others.

Boatwright is a senior vice president at Sysco, a marketing and distribution corporation focused on American food products and equipment. Landry is the chief executive officer and chief investment officer of Granville Capital, Inc., an asset management firm focused on alternative investments.

Alston is the head of corporate banking at Wells Fargo, where he has worked for the past fifteen years in several executive roles, and is also a member of the Morehead-Cain Foundation Board of Trustees.

BOV members support the UNC–Chapel Hill Board of Trustees through their professional expertise and experience and by working to advance institutional efforts. They also serve on subcommittees focused on topics such as public relations, government relations, and fundraising.

As Carolina ambassadors, the more than 200 volunteers seek to keep their communities informed about the University’s priorities and “educate the University about how it can best serve those communities,” according to the May 24 announcement. U.S.-residing members also provide mentorship and guidance to undergraduate students preparing to enter the workforce.

The new members begin their terms on July 1 and will each serve four-year terms.
