The Washington Post wants to know: can Joe Nail’s new venture help make government jobs cool?

Nail is co-founder and chief executive officer of Lead for America. The nonprofit is one of two featured recently by the Post that share the vision of connecting college graduates with public sector jobs.

Nail told the paper that “local government is an ideal exposure for people who want to go into public service.” But he recognizes governments don’t have the ability to recruit on college campus like large tech firms or banks. He hopes Lead for America can help open students’ eyes to careers outside Silicon Valley and Wall Street.
