To investigate questions of food sovereignty and repurposing of waste through regenerative agriculture.

Patrice earned a BA with highest distinction in public policy and psychology, with a minor in Chinese. At Carolina, she was deeply involved with Southern Oral History Program, the Community Justice, Anti-Racism, and Abolition Collective, and the Campus Y. Patrice served as the co-president of Campus Y from 2021 to 2022. Following this tenure, Patrice completed a bridge year, during which she served as a case manager for the DC Abortion Fund, conducted oral histories with anti-apartheid activists in South Africa, and served as an investigative intern at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. Academically, she conducted research in both the Public Policy and Psychology Departments and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. To wrap up her time at Carolina, Patrice cooked meals regularly for the new community fridge based out of the Community Empowerment Fund office.
