Immediate Plans

To work with the Carolina Alumni Review as a writer and photographer.

Ira earned a BA in media and journalism and a BA in public policy, each with highest distinction, as well as a minor in classical humanities, and he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He worked at The Daily Tar Heel as an editor on multiple desks until his senior year, when he began interning for both NBC News Group and the Carolina Alumni Review. He also worked for three years at the student fashion magazine, Coulture, where he most recently served as director of photography. During his freshman year, he began a photography business, one that continues to thrive today. When he was not writing or taking photos, he was playing bass in his band, The Modern Age.
