At TABLENC, as an intern and volunteer, she played a pivotal role in the launch of a free grocery delivery pilot program. Grace also found functional solutions for outreach issues leveraging technology and coordinating more efficient volunteer engagement. In Portugal, at ReFood, she investigated community movement efforts to eliminate food waste and authored an article comparing local and global food accessibility practices based on her experiences. Grace researched the pervasiveness of human trafficking in North Carolina and was invited to present at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. In addition, she researched the prevalence of college mental health issues, receiving The People’s Choice Podcast Award for her efforts.
