Evelyn earned a BS in mathematics, a BS with Distinction in economics, and a minor in philosophy, politics, and economics (PPE). At Carolina, she served as director of community service and philanthropy for Kappa Delta, planning and executing several service projects while raising over $100,000 for Prevent Child Abuse America and the Durham Center for Child and Family Health. Academically, she explored the interdisciplinary nature of the renewable energy transition by conducting summer research in Australia and New Zealand. During her time at Carolina, Evelyn co-founded and held several executive director positions in SolarEquity, a nonprofit and UNC club that solarizes affordable housing in North Carolina. She will remain active in the organization as the blended finance advisor upon graduation.
