Ashton earned a BS in neuroscience and a BS in biology. At Carolina, he was a peer guide for UNC’s health professions advising’s inaugural peer guide cohort, where he helped mentor aspiring healthcare professional undergraduates. Ashton also served as an undergraduate learning assistant in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, facilitating learning of research methods. Outside of campus, Ashton also worked as an EMT, where he furthered his love for medicine. Following graduation, Ashton plans to work in clinical research while applying to medical school.
