Fifteen years after graduating as a Morehead-Cain Scholar in 2008, Jesse Soloff returns to the Foundation as vice president of community, excited to work on behalf of a program, organization, and opportunity that changed his life as a high school senior growing up in New Jersey.

In the years between his two stays in Chapel Hill, Jesse established a career in sports and partnership marketing in Charlotte, most notably with GMR Marketing, where he worked on world-class brands like Procter & Gamble, Google, and Hershey’s, navigating sponsorships with global organizations like the International Olympic Committee, US Olympic and Paralympic Committee, NBA and WNBA. Along the way, Jesse gained a track record as a trusted partner, collaborative teammate, and respected leader.

Jesse graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in journalism. He won a 2017 National City and Regional Magazine award for his essay, Our Last Home, which describes his first night home following the passing of his first wife. In her memory, he also founded and currently oversees the Taylor Soloff Memorial Endowment, supporting patient care initiatives at the Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte.

In 2024, Jesse will relocate to Chapel Hill with his wife Katie, daughter Talia, and very good dog, Cali.
