Immediate Plans

To support the Morehead-Cain Foundation with its evolving gap year program.

Taylor earned her BA with honors in human organizational leadership and development, with a minor in conflict management. At Carolina, she was a founding member of Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society in Education, advocacy chair for the School of Education Undergraduate Advisory Council, an arts and culture writer for the Daily Tar Heel, a Buckley Public Service Scholar, a Campus Y Global Gap Year Fellow, and a mentor to gap year students. Charting her own path through college, Taylor began with a gap year in Ecuador, then studied abroad in London, and during her junior year, took a stop-out to fulfill her dream of working at Disney, which she did as a conservation educator and safari driver at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Academically, she conducted two research studies through the Education Department on women’s happiness and career readiness, respectively. To conclude her time at Carolina, Taylor worked as the resource development coordinator for GRACED Inc., a Durham-based nonprofit.
