Immediate Plans

To pursue a gap year working in public health before applying to medical school.

Steph earned a BSPH with highest distinction in nutrition and a minor in chemistry. At Carolina, she served as a research assistant for the Global Food Research Program and the Gillings School of Global Public Health and conducted multi-country research studies focused on community-based and adolescent health. She was also the health editor for a student publication, served on the executive board of the nutrition coalition, and was a student ambassador for the public health school. One of her most meaningful experiences was traveling to over twenty countries during her time at Carolina and studying abroad in Madrid, which shaped her perspective and deepened her passion for global health equity.
