Sebastian Charles Mateu

Sebastian completed a BA in economics with distinction, a BA in interdisciplinary studies (coastal resilience), and a minor in business administration. While at Carolina, he served on the Student Government executive branch and the Provost Advisory Council and was involved with Consult Your Community. He also held executive positions in SolarEquity, a local nonprofit that solarizes affordable housing, and conducted research for the UNDRR Coastal Resilience Partnership as part of the core development team. Sebastian is most proud of his Global Perspective and Professional Experience summers, during which he created unique opportunities to explore climate finance and sustainable development worldwide. He is deeply grateful for his relationships within the Morehead-Cain and on campus, which will extend far beyond his years at Carolina.
