Sage McKenzi Crosby

Sage earned a BA with highest distinction in political science with honors and a minor in data science. At Carolina, she served as a committee director for the Black Pre-Law Association, held positions in the UNC Student Government executive branch, is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and co-founded a 501(c)(3) all-female rideshare service for UNC students. She worked as an undergraduate learning assistant for the Data in Politics course and as a political science research assistant. She studied abroad in London, England, with Honors Carolina, focusing on the intersection between mental health and criminal justice. These experiences shaped her senior honors thesis on how state political landscapes influence the prioritization and implementation of mental health evaluations in juvenile detention facilities. Sage was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and recognized as a Buckley Public Service Scholar. While at Carolina, she competed on the UNC Gymnastics Club Team.
