Rich earned a BS in computer science, with a minor in entrepreneurship. His tenure at Carolina was marked by his pioneering spirit, evident from his role as a founding member of the UNC chapter of Scholars of Finance, a national undergraduate finance organization fostering integrity in finance leaders of tomorrow. Additionally, Rich also served as the co-president of the Black Entrepreneur Initiative. His academic pursuits extended beyond the classroom as he delved into fintech-focused academic research within the UNC Computer Science Department. Simultaneously, Rich nurtured his entrepreneurial spirit by spearheading Northstate Equity, a residential real estate acquisitions company. While at Carolina, he seized opportunities to broaden his horizons, embarking on transformative journeys to the Caribbean and Southeast Asia through Morehead-Cain’s SEP and study abroad programs.
