Becca earned a BA with highest distinction in history and global studies and a minor in Hispanic studies. At Carolina, she served two terms as co-chair of the Renewable Energy Special Projects Committee, where she expanded solar panel infrastructure and represented students in UNC’s energy transition. She served as vice president of UNC Student Government and as chair of the chancellor’s, provost’s, and dean of the College of Arts and Sciences’ advisory committees. She enjoyed working with students across campus to improve academic experience and university policy. Becca also served as president of the board of the Daily Tar Heel and loved working with student journalists for three years. She was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and the Order of the Golden Fleece. During her time at Carolina, Becca traveled to South Africa, Rwanda, Spain, and the Netherlands to pursue her academic interests. She is forever grateful for the friendships and connections she found here—her proudest accomplishment by far.
