To pursue an MPhil in economics as a Marshall Scholar at the University of Oxford, Trinity College.

Pratyush earned a BS with highest distinction and honors in economics and mathematics, and a minor in history. At Carolina, he served on the board of directors of the Daily Tar Heel, the executive board of the Parr Center for Ethics, and the Morehead-Cain Scholarship Fund Board. Pratyush was also the co-founder of Visibility Forward, an Asian American educational advocacy organization, as well as the co-founder and editor in chief of The Oh Well, UNC’s premier satire publication. Academically, he researched ideas in artificial intelligence at the Digital Health Economics and Policy Lab, was a member of the Quantifying Gerrymandering mathematics research group, wrote a senior honors thesis on inefficiencies in flood insurance markets, and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. In addition, Pratyush was a Smart Surfaces Scholar, working alongside stakeholders such as the United Nations to develop climate-resilient urban infrastructure worldwide. Throughout his time at Carolina, he was an avid soccer player, basketball player, and hiker.
