Immediate Plans

To join EY as a consulting analyst in New York City.

Murphy earned a BA in economics and political science, with a minor in business administration, and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Her academic journey at Carolina has been marked by a growing focus on sustainability, which she pursued through involvement with two climate startups through the UNC Sustainable Business Club. She also co-directed fundraising efforts for Solar Equity, a student-run nonprofit dedicated to solarizing affordable housing in North Carolina through structuring corporate campaigning. Murphy studied abroad in Florence, Italy, during the spring semester of her junior year, and worked with an international environmental consulting firm in Germany on its carbon market team to further her sustainability interests. Murphy gained consulting experience during a summer internship with EY and is excited to pursue further opportunities at the firm’s New York City office. To wrap up her senior year, she has enjoyed coaching a recreational high school boys’ basketball team at the Chapel Hill Rec Center.
