Immediate Plans

To pursue a career in concert production and promotion in Hong Kong.

Mark earned a BSBA with distinction in business administration as a GLOBE 18 Scholar, with a minor in food studies. At Carolina, he was an executive member of the Asian American Center, team leader for the Carolina Union Activities Board, and brother of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. His most outstanding involvement, however, was with the UNC Clef Hangers, where he sang as a tenor 1 and served as the group’s publicity director and business manager. Mark had three colorful summers: working at the City of Asheville Urban Planning and Design Department, traveling through Thailand’s four food regions to conduct ethnographic research on national cuisine, and working in concert production and promotion in Singapore. A highlight Mark takes pride in is summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro and establishing a Tanzanian legacy for generations of gap-year scholars.
