Immediate Plans

To pursue a career in global public health implementation within Latin America.

Maddie earned a BS in public health with distinction in health policy and management from the Gillings School of Global Public Health, with a minor in Spanish for the medical professions. She has gained hands-on public health experience through internships and research both locally and globally, including through research with the Community Health Impact Coalition to advocate for community health worker salaries and support. Maddie studied public health in Argentina, developing her Spanish, and visited Geneva to explore global health policy, engaging with professionals from the World Health Organization and the United Nations. She served as director of communications for the International Development Research Club and as an ambassador for Gillings. Maddie is passionate about addressing global health challenges and is especially focused on sustainable, community-driven solutions in Latin America.
