Immediate Plans

To pursue a career in creative writing in Iowa City, Iowa.

Liam earned a BA in English and comparative literature, as well as a BA in Hispanic studies. At Carolina, he served as treasurer for the Student Organization for Undergraduate Literature and pioneered the role of crossword creator at The Daily Tar Heel. He tried everything he saw: volunteer farming, stage acting, salsa dancing, and much more, which he would like to share personally. His summer experiences included researching public philanthropy in Baltimore, founding a Spanish translation initiative for Delaware State Parks, and writing a collection of short stories about his time abroad in Ireland. Academically, he worked to inspire a campus-wide love of literature, culminating in the design and teaching of a class on postmodern literature and culture. More importantly, though, Liam wishes to be remembered not for the things he did but for how he did them: full-heartedly with a love of life big enough to share with those around him.
