Immediate Plans

To earn his master’s in biomedical engineering at Columbia University.

Kabir earned a BS in biomedical engineering with concentrations in rehabilitation engineering and medical imaging. During his time at Carolina, he was an officer with the Helping Hands Project, a member of Carolina Adapts Toys for Children, a Biomedical Engineering Ambassador, and a member of the Club Tennis Team. Additionally, he volunteers with Breakthrough T1D, heading a council of 18- to 28-year-olds who frequently travel to Capitol Hill to advocate for those living with type 1 diabetes. Concurrently, he worked with the Applied Biomechanics Laboratory and graduated with several publications detailing how carbon-fiber shoe insoles can be used in older adult populations to reduce fall risk. In his free time, Kabir took advantage of Carolina’s class offerings and enrolled in a class that helped him earn his scuba diving certification, something he plans to leverage extensively in the future!
