Immediate Plans

To pursue creative writing before working on increasing the accessibility of sustainable food systems.

During his gap year, he worked as a camp counselor in Iceland and traveled through Sicily, Bolivia, Turkey, Israel, and Portugal. Julian explored his passion for food systems by researching the status of the organic farming market in the Canary Islands, a project that became his honors thesis. Despite starting as a biomedical engineering major, he explored pursuits in business, journalism, and biology that became useful skills for his work developing multimedia projects about sustainable tourism, creating business plans for solar energy expansion, and teaching an Italian course session. Julian was co-choreographer of Qué Rico Latin Dance team, wrote and directed a film through CFA, participated in club triathlon nationals, and worked as a bartender.
