Immediate Plans

To work as a fishmonger and food writer with RecPak in Portland, Maine.

Julia earned her BSPH with distinction in nutrition. During her time at Carolina, she served as co-president of the Carolina Outing Club and co-chair of the Education and Outreach Committee for Culinary Medicine. Julia was also a dedicated employee of Campus Recreation, where she worked as a personal trainer, HeelFit coach, and director of Weights and Wellness—an event designed to create an inclusive space for learning weightlifting regardless of gender or ability. Her contributions earned her Employee of the Month and the Campus Recreation Student Excellence Award. Julia also served as a sports nutrition intern for Olympic Sports at Carolina, supporting athletes to maximize their performance. She navigated the intersection of her passions by becoming the rations assistant at the NOLS Rocky Mountain base and completing a multi-day culinary course in the Italian mountains. Julia is excited to continue combining her love for the outdoors and food to fuel others on their next adventure.
