Jonathan Suwen Huang

Jonny graduated with a BS in computer science, a BA in economics, and a minor in Chinese. During his time at Carolina, he was an active member of the Club Tennis team and could often be found at the OEC or Cobb courts. He was also involved with the Asian American Center and was a development team member for CarolinaVR. Jonny received the Phillips Ambassadors Scholarship to study abroad in Taipei, Taiwan, where he fell in love with night markets and developed an interest in semiconductors. Following this experience, he spent time researching the economics and geopolitical influence of semiconductors in Japan and Taiwan, contributing his research to the Economics Department. Throughout his college experience, he got better at asking questions and worse at cooking, but he will most cherish his time spent with friends.
