Jonathan earned a BA with highest distinction in political science, with a minor in business administration. During his time at Carolina, he was involved with Consult Your Community, the UNC Institute of Politics, and the Club Lacrosse team. Jonathan also served as a volunteer assistant lacrosse coach for his former team at Carrboro High School. Academically, he wrote an honors thesis on the effect of partisan polarization on American foreign policy and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
