To complete a fellowship with the University of Tennessee, Knoxville Intercollegiate Athletics Department.

Jake earned a BA with highest distinction in public policy and a BA with highest distinction in economics, and minored in American studies. At Carolina, Jake was president of the Lutheran Campus Ministry, an intern with the athletics communications office, served on the executive team for the Morehead-Cain Food for Thought speaker series, and was an advocate at the Community Empowerment Fund. Jake also co-taught a class on The Art of Gerrymandering with Justin Goldman ’25 in the spring of his senior year. He was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and made the Dean’s List in all semesters. In his last two years at Carolina, Jake was the lead writer of the UNC football and basketball postgame notes, finding facts and figures about games and players that delighted the media and fans.
