Izzy earned a BA with highest distinction in chemistry. At Carolina, she loved hosting international student events, conducting gut microbiome research at the Redinbo biochemistry lab, and creating spaces for meaningful conversation in town. Her most proud work was her paper for the Carolina Honors Food & Culture seminar, EATS, in which she wrote a thorough analysis of fertilizer supply chains and the roots of innovation from the Industrial Revolution. With a strong passion for shipping and logistics, Izzy supported an investment fund scaling technical health infrastructure in majority-rural countries, worked at a container shipping company on industrial port operations and energy equipment planning, and at a shipping agency to reduce bottlenecks for operations in Southeast Asia. Over her time in college, Izzy visited 24 countries and 15 states, went through doula training, learned to drive a Tuk Tuk, and became a level 8 Google reviewer.
