To study music and vocal performance in Europe.

Emma-Katherine earned a BA with highest distinction in global studies, with minors in music and conflict management. While at UNC, she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and studied abroad. She sang in many ensembles, including the Carolina Choir (which she led as president) and UNC Opera, in addition to placing in statewide voice competitions. In her early years at Carolina, Emma-Katherine worked with several on-campus organizations like the Campus Y, where she ran a social justice grant fund, and the Institute of Politics, where she worked on civic engagement projects and served as director of the Fellows Program and director of Speaker Series. In her later years at UNC, she worked as a tour guide, completed certifications in Disaster Management through the Gillings School of Global Public Health, and worked closely with the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Public School Foundation to advance educational equity in the community.
