Emilee Arlisha Liggins

Emilee earned a BS in computer science and was deeply involved with the department’s largest interdisciplinary organization, App Team Carolina. She contributed to projects across mobile development, product management, and UI/UX before becoming a senior iOS developer at Centible, a startup launched out of App Team. There, she led a major app upgrade that introduced new features, improved infrastructure, and expanded user capabilities, while mentoring junior developers. Her work played a key role in Centible receiving awards as an emerging tech startup. Outside of tech, Emilee served as secretary and outreach lead for Voices of Praise gospel choir, organizing performances and leading a drive that collected over 2,000 items for Carolina Cupboard. She also fostered dogs through Independent Animal Rescue and played on the UNC Club Basketball team, competing across the state. In her final year, she transitioned her work at Centible while continuing to enjoy voice lessons, tennis, and pickleball with friends.
