Immediate Plans

To serve as a fellow at Dismas Family Farm in Massachusetts while applying to law school.

Ann graduated with highest distinction, earning a BA in history and philosophy. She was deeply involved with the Parr Center for Ethics, where she served as an undergraduate fellow, contributing to its mission of fostering ethical reflection and inquiry through research and volunteering. A highlight of Ann’s time at Carolina was her participation in the Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl, where she helped lead her team to a national championship during her junior year. Beyond ethics, she was an active member of the Philosophy Department, serving as a Balter Undergraduate Diversity Fellow and co-editor-in-chief of the UNC undergraduate philosophy journal Aperto Animo. Ann’s passion for legal justice was shaped by formative internships with the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia and the Osborne Association, ultimately inspiring her senior honors thesis on fair criminal sentencing across the lifespan. During her bridge year, Ann pursued another passion—food—by working as a line cook at an alum’s restaurant in Rotterdam and attending baking school in Scotland!
