Alexander Forbes Reid

Alex earned a BS with highest distinction in statistics and analytics, a BA in economics, and a minor in business administration, and he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa honor society. At Carolina, Alex worked with several local businesses through his involvement with Consult Your Community, starting as an associate and becoming an engagement manager overseeing projects in the Chapel Hill area. Outside of school, he worked as a research analyst at the Smart Surfaces Coalition, where he conducted a study analyzing the financial impact of climate change on Los Angeles’s tourism industry and presented his findings to city officials. His role as a Traveling Summer Fellow at Island Innovation took him across Europe as he researched remote work trends to aid island governments in developing digital nomad programs.
