Outdoor Leadership Courses

Alaska Leadership Expedition - NOLS

Fourteen scholars ventured to Alaska this summer for a 25-day expedition across the beautiful Alaskan tundra. Together, they backpacked among towering peaks and immense snow-covered summits that define the state’s world-famous mountain ranges. Along the way, they learned to navigate, camp, and cook in the wilderness while building a strong sense of community and learning to lead and thrive in uncertainty. The experience culminated in a multi-day expedition without instructors, where the scholars put their skills and teamwork to the test in the backcountry.
