Carolina Athletics is honoring New York University Stern School of Business Dean Peter Henry for his contributions to Carolina and beyond.

Henry is one of two University alumni this year named “trailblazers” for their impact on the University. He arrived on campus in 1987 as a then-Morehead Scholar and a member of the football team. After graduating, Henry went on to receive the Rhodes Scholarship  and study at Oxford University. Henry became the youngest-ever Dean of NYU’s Stern School of Business in 2010.

The Tar Heel Trailblazer award recognizes members of the Carolina community who have “paved the way for success in all aspects of the student-athlete experience.”

Henry is the third Morehead-Cain Alumnus/Alumna to receive the honor, joining Karen Stevenson ’79 and Robyn Hadley ’85.

Peter Henry ’91 meets with Morehead-Cain Scholars in 2013.
