The application deadline for the 2012–2013 selection year is October 15, 2012.
There are two ways sixth-form students in the United Kingdom may be nominated for the Morehead-Cain:
- by an official British Morehead-Cain nominating school.
- or, if they do not attend an official British Morehead-Cain nominating school, they may nominate themselves by applying directly.

Please Note
Admission to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is a separate process from application for the Morehead-Cain. All forms and correspondence dealing with admission to Carolina should go directly to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The final deadline to apply to Carolina is January 5, 2013.
