One cool thing about where I live is that the Mississippi is basically in my backyard.
It’s only about three streets over, and I cross it every day to get to the newspaper office.
Natchez sits on a bluff that I’ve run along and gotten a nice view of the river. Apparently Natchez is the second-oldest city along the Mississippi, behind New Orleans by a year or two.
