After four or five hours of wandering on foot and through the Buenos Aires public transportation system, carrying my passport, credit cards, and at least two grand in dollars and pesos, I made it back to Mediapila, and later to my apartment where I safely paid the rent and deposit in cash.
So no more of this running around with rolls of cash on me business.
