At 13:33h Central European Time, I officially located the best pain au chocolat in Paris and, therefore, probably the entire world.

It’s from De Pain et Des Idées, a bakery north of Republique in the 10th arrondissement of Paris.

Perfectly flaky and crisp on the outside, buttery on the inside with warm, melty dark chocolate in the middle.
