I´m afraid of heights. It´s not rational, it´s not controllable, but it´s me.
We saw this woman on a rock with complete drop-offs on either side, and Marie agreed to do the same. The Peruvians there kept encouraging me, and as much as I told them I was afraid of heights, they wouldn´t relent, so I finally agreed.
Scampering across boulders, crawling over a gap to the valley floor, I finally made it to the rock. And was shaking like a leaf.
It might be the scariest thing I´ve ever done, but I loved it.
