I was just appointed to the chief Clarinet Teaching Artist position for the Atlanta Music Project, an El Sistema program that was brought to the USA from Venezuela as a TED Prize wish for Dr. José Abreu and Gustavo Dudamel (current music director of the L.A. Philharmonic).
The program’s aim is to use classical music to advocate social change in inner city, underserved, and impoverished communities—and it works.
