Hadley Heath ’10 covers economic policy for the Independent Women’s Forum

In the midst of a fierce national debate on taxes, stimulus spending, and the overall direction of economic policy, Hadley Heath ’10 is covering plenty of ground on her policy blog.

After serving as a summer fellow at the Independent Women’s Forum in Washington, D.C. Hadley returned to the IWF as a policy analyst after graduation.

“I had a wonderful experience here as a junior fellow,” Hadley said in an interview with the Forum. “What I like about IWF is the breadth of the topics we cover.”

For Hadley, that has included everything from education reform in post-Katrina New Orleans to the economic impact of unemployment benefits. Her latest posts on the IWF “Inkwell” blog take a hard look at some of the biggest economic issues facing the country.

“The argument for a second stimulus is based on the idea that the first stimulus was successful,” Hadley wrote in a recent post. “The real stimulus the economy needs will come from individuals who are free to invest and spend without the government’s interference.”

Look for more of her analysis in the months ahead.
