COVID-19 Updates

News & Spotlights | March 16, 2020

We know many of you are paying close attention to the developing COVID-19 pandemic. All of us at Morehead-Cain are as well. Our priority remains the safety and well-being of everyone in our community: scholars, alumni, staff and trustees, and friends.

Health experts say preventing the spread of coronavirus is the responsibility of all of us and have recommended social distancing measures. That is why the Morehead-Cain offices are closed as of Monday, March 16. We have also cancelled all scholar and alumni events through April.

Our staff will remain hard at work supporting recipients, scholars, and alumni during this time. Each team member can be reached via email and would be happy to schedule a phone or Zoom call to talk.

Our next update (barring major developments) is scheduled for Tuesday, March 24. In the meantime, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is providing regular updates about the impact of COVID-19 on campus.

Our hearts go out to all who are affected by the pandemic. Coronavirus is a source of anxiety, disappointment, and frustration for many. Please let us know if there’s anything else we could do to offer our support during these uncertain times.
